We understand that being involved in a wreck is a frightening experience and most vehicle owners have no idea where to begin or how to proceed. Confusion about filing Insurance claims, getting a repair estimate, choosing a body shop and obtaining a rental vehicle are just some of the issues you will be faced with. We would be happy to assist you in navigating the process, answering your questions and helping you to contact the necessary parties. Below are some important points that for your protection we want to be sure that you know:
After your physical and emotional injuries are repaired the next most important decision you will make is selecting who will repair your vehicle.
It is your RIGHT to choose your repair facility. Unfortunately the State of South Carolina has not enacted regulations that protect you from the manipulation of an Insurer with regard to selecting a repair facility. Steering you to a "program shop" in the majority of states is illegal. What is a Program Shop? When a body shop joins an Insurer's "Program" they enter into a contractual agreement with that company. In exchange for the volume of work being driven to their body shop they agree to reduce costs and speed through the repair process to save the Insurance Company money. Make no mistake; program shops do not work for YOU, they work for the Insurer. In presenting a program shop to you, the Insurer will tell you all of the "benefits" assuring you that they will warranty and guarantee the repairs done and that the process will be quicker and more convenient. Anyone that has been involved in an insurance claim knows that there is nothing convenient or quick about it so don't be fooled by their hype. Often times they even use the words; one of our shops. It is our Choice to maintain our Independence from Insurance Companies. We are proud to say "We are Not a Program Shop".

Darrell's Body Shop warranties our repairs for as long as you own your vehicle. We stand behind the quality of our work and the quality of the products we use. We will take the necessary time to repair your vehicle properly. Above all else we work for You, not the insurance company.
Any estimate written before a vehicle is torn down and hidden damage has been identified is preliminary. An adjuster will write for only the damage that they can see and any additional items will be handled in the supplement process. We would be happy to go over an estimate with you and address concerns on your behalf with the Insurer. We will assist you in ensuring a proper and complete repair as well as assisting you to receive fair compensation from the Insurer for the damages to your vehicle.
